Upon the announcement of the winner, netizens were posting on facebook and sending tweets that the result was just disappointing making the show's rating to drop. However still, many believe that Philip Philips deserves the title.

Trending topics on twitter like "WGWG" or White Guy With Guitar also made it's way because for the 5th consecutive time in American Idol history, the winner is always a white guy with guitar making netizens doubt the credibility of the winner. There was a report that most of the Idol voters are allegedly teen females and I must say they love good-looking guys.

Many Filipinos who supported Jessica commended the talent of Philip Philips though. 

Some tweeps are tweeting words like "Americans love to vote good-looking white guy then after that will just download and request for the songs of the runner-up," Those words might be true in the case of David Archuleta over David Cook who is making big now, Adam Lambert over Kris Allen too who now has a good career, Chris Daughtry too and of course I believe Jessica will make it very big too over Philip Philips.

The real winner should not be recognized at the show itself because the real winner will be determined on how his/her career will fluorish after the end of the show. Let's wait who will be the real winner outside the American Idol stage soon!
